Isabel M. (Viapiano) Cox of Rockland, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully at home Jan. 29, surrounded by her loving family, age 76. Isabel was the loving wife of the late John P. Cox Jr.; beloved mother of John J. Cox of RI, Nancy Mills of Plymouth, and Kevin Cox and wife Kimberly of Plymouth. Loving sister of Patricia Vaillancourt, Anthony and Vincent Viapiano. Devoted grandmother of Christopher and Shawn Cox, Robert and John Mills, and Jeanette Fuller. Also survived by five great-grandchildren and her beloved friend and companion, Richard Giles of Weymouth. Isabel loved to travel, quilting, crafting, and reading. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Rockland, Rockland Council on Aging and Brockton Hospital. Funeral was held from the Quealy & Son Funeral Home, 116 Adams St., Abington, Thursday, Feb. 2 at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral in St. Bridget Church, Abington at 9 a.m. Visitation was held Wednesday 4 to 8 p,m. Interment MA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Isabel to may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
