BOUTEILLER, Norma Blanche

November 20, 1925 – August 3, 2021

 

It is with regret that we announce that our mom, Norma passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 after a long illness. She was born in Markerville, Alberta, the youngest daughter of David and Millie Anderson. She grew up in the Markerville area and met and married the love of her life, Walter Bouteiller, on November 18, 1944.

Walt and Norma stayed in the Penhold area for their entire married life and raised four daughters and watched their family grow. Mom was famous for her pies and butter tarts and was always the consummate hostess!

Norma is lovingly rememberd by her daughters, Brenda Girling (Bus) of Red Deer, Wendy Erickson (Don) of Sylvan Lake, Karen Young (Doug) of Sylvan Lake and Rhonda Berwick (Rick) of Lacombe. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother-in-law, Eugene Bouteiller (Edna) and sisters-in-law Elaine Harkness and Monica Bouteiller; as well as ,any nieces and nephews loved their Auntie Norma. Norma was predeceased by her husband, Walt; her parents; all her brothers and sisters; son-in-law, Butch Kenney; and granddaughter, Stacey Coyle.

Many thanks from the family go to the staff at Bethany Sylvan Lake.  The wonderful care that you gave Mom is greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of her Life will take place Monday, August 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Penhold Memorial Hall at 1123 Fleming Avenue, Penhold. There will be a tea and time of friendship to follow.
