Melba C. (Porter) McLaughlin Obituary
Melba C. (Porter) McLaughlin of Moncton, N.B.; passed away at at her residence, on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the age of 95 years. Born in River Hebert, NS she was the daughter of the late James and Christena (MacLellan) Porter.
She is survived by four step sons, Richard (Laura) Upper Coverdale, Larry (Maggie) of Moncton, Wayne (Jane) of Riverview and Philip (Shirley) of Halifax, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ron in 1996 and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her sisters Rhona (Mrs. John Halliday), Laura (Mrs. Dan Mawdsley), Mary Porter and Dorothy Wood all of River Hebert, NS and Ellen of Montreal and by brothers Charles of River Hebert, John of Dartmouth and James of Montreal.
At her request there will be no services held. Burial will take place at River Hebert, NS in the family burial plot.
Donations in Melba’s memory made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
