George William Boyle Obituary
Boyle, William George, age 65, of Bayfield, Antigonish County, passed away on September 15, 2022, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Connor and Florence (Kavanaugh) Boyle.
George loved a good game of cards, especially winning against Leona. George loved the water and was a fisherman most of his life, working with Dale for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Leona (Chisholm); son, Connor; siblings, Cyril (Judy), Edmonton; Gerard, Bayfield; Betty (Francis) Juurlink, Bayfield; and Ambrose (Celeste), Clive, AB; stepbrothers, Keith (late Theresa), Addington Forks; Wayne (Kaye), West River; and Dale, Bayfield; and many nieces and nephews and the extended Chisholm family.
Predeceased by his parents; his stepmother, Effie Trenholm-Boyle; sister, Phyllis Connors; and his in-laws, Ernie and Helen Chisholm.
Visitation will be held Tuesday in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00am in Immaculate Conception Church, Heatherton, with Reverend Dennis Lamey presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery.
