Jacob FROESE Obituary
Froese, Jacob – It is with sad hearts that we share the passing of Jacob Froese on August 22, 2017, at the age of 84. Jake will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of almost 60 years, Erna (Heinrichs). He was a wonderful dad to his sons and daughter-in-law; Mark, Gerry and Donna (Epp) and Gordon. A cherished Opa to his granddaughters Jasmine and Alexi. Survived by his brother and sister-in-law Peter and Lou Froese, sister-in-law Margaret Heinrichs and brothers-in-law Bill Janzen and Paul Moon. Jake was a History and English teacher for more than 30 years, finishing his career at Beamsville District Secondary School. He devoted much time to the church, serving on committees and teaching adult Sunday School. Upon retirement he enjoyed time with family, his rose garden and travelling.
The family will receive frinds at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St., on Friday, August 25 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Grace Mennonite Church, 677 Niagara St. St. Catharines on Saturday, August 26 at 10:00 a.m. Fellowship meal then interment to follow at Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre or MCC which supports relief, development and peace in the name of Christ.
