Anna Leone Obituary
It is with great sorrow we announce the death of Anna. Born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, L’Aquila, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Margherita Oddi. She immigrated to Canada in the 50’s and started her new life in Hamilton. Anna was married for 45 years to her husband Raffaele who passed away on February 3, 2017.
Her biggest sorrow was losing her only child Vincenzo Leone on October 3, 1999 at the young age of 26 which left a big void in her heart. Anna is now reunited with her husband and son. She will be sadly missed by family members in Canada and Italy. A special thank you to the Villa Italia staff for their care and compassion over the last four years.
Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E. (near James) on Friday from 3 – 7 PM. A funeral mass will be offered at St. Margaret Mary’s Church (20 Idlewood Ave, Hamilton) on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:30 AM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, ALL GUESTS MUST RSVP on Anna’s tribute page at www.friscolanti.com for the visitation. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In Lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice is appreciated by the family.
