William Masterson Obituary
Peacefully surrounded by the love of his family, at the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce, on Sunday morning, December 18th, 2016. William Wesley Masterson, of Owen Sound, at the age of 74 years. Dearly loved partner and best friend of Verl McLay (nee Sutcliffe) for 33 years. Loving father of Melissa Masterson (Adam Smith) and Corey Masterson (Kelly), both of Southampton, Marj Brohman (Peter), Marlene McLay, Mike McLay (Marlena) and Pat McLay, all of the Kitchener and Cambridge area and Pam McLay (Rob Daigneau), of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of Jesse, Katie (Kris), Jessica, Jeremy, Kali, Carter, Jake, MacKenzie, Willow and great-grandfather of Jackson, Dawson and Blake. Dear brother of Vermayle Longmuir (David) and Julie Ferguson (Kyle), both of Southampton and Jay Masterson (Carla), of Port Elgin. Bill will be sadly missed by his in-laws, the Sutcliffe and McLay families and his many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Lloyd (Hubby) and Merle Masterson; his infant daughter, Vanessa Masterson; his infant brother, Douglas Masterson; his sister, Janice Masterson.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 à 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Tuesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service for Bill Masterson will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, December 21st, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Heather McCarrel officiating. Interment at a later date in Southampton Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Residential Hospice of Grey-Bruce or the Children’s Wish Foundation as an expression of sympathy.
