EILEEN LABUTE (NEE MILLER) Obituary check_circle

Eileen passed away peacefully at the age of 97, on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Trillium Villa in Sarnia. Beloved wife of the late Bob (2019). She will be missed by her children, Ted Labute of Windsor, Paul Labute of Dallas, Texas, Diane and Neil Medwed of Plano, Texas, Jude and Ron Eminson of Creston, BC and Laurie and Bryan Beneteau of Ottawa. Grandmother to nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Eileen was predeceased by her brothers and sister, Lloyd, Arthur, and Helen. Eileen was a treasured member of her church, singing in the choir for most of her life. She was a devoted wife and mother, leaving behind many wonderful recipes to be enjoyed for years to come. Her laugh, her smile and her wonderful sense of humor will be missed by everyone who knew her. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff at Trillium Villa and to Eileen’s good friend Barbara Grunte for her love and support these past few years. A funeral service lead by Pastor Kirk Radford of Christ Lutheran Church, will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., with family and friends being received one hour prior to the service.
