MARY-ADELE O’GORMAN Obituary
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary-Adele after a four-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mary-Adele is predeceased by her mother Lois O’Gorman and parents-in-law Chucks and Dot Schmalz.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years Charlie, her daughters Hilary and Samantha, daughter-in-law Clare, and sweet granddaughter Carter, her father Gerry O’Gorman and her brother Brad and sister-in-law Ingrid O’Gorman. In addition to Mary-Adele’s immediate family, she had many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and countless close friends.
Mary-Adele was a teacher with the Grey-Bruce Catholic School Board for 36 years and was an active member of the Southampton Rotary Club.
She loved her family, spending time with friends over a meal or a glass of wine, and escaping the harsh winters to warmer destinations with her family.
The many memories we have of Mary-Adele will live on in all of us. The friendships she created over the years meant everything to her, and those who knew her were better off having her in their lives. She will be deeply missed by many.
Visitation at the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton, on Thursday November 18 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Proof of double vaccination will be required to attend to the visitation. A celebration of life will be made know at a later date by the family.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce.
