Gerrie KINGSWOOD Obituary
Kingswood-Gerrie of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Arie Kingswood (May 6, 1986) and dearly loved mother of Michael Kingswood and his wife Sherry of St. Thomas, Richard Kingswood and his wife Patti of Sarnia, Ron Kingswood and his wife Linda of Sparta and Karin Stafford of Leamington. Much loved grandmother of Brian, Kevin and Kelly Kingswood, Jamie and his wife Jill Kingswood and Erin and Lauren Stafford and great grandmother of Chace and Leyson. Dear sister of Elly (Robert) DeVries of St. Thomas and Leny (late Henry) Vandorp of Woodstock. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Gerrie was born in Holland on March 27th, 1931, the daughter of the late Gerrit (George and Elizabeth (Vander Toolen) Vanderkooy. She was a long time member of the First Christian Reformed Church.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the St. Thomas Christian Schools or the charity of choice
