Faulkner (Van Bauwel), Margaret E. (Maggie) of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18th, 2014, at the Sakura House, Woodstock, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Grant Faulkner and the late Lucien (Lu) Van Bauwel (2002) and dearly loved mother of Vicki Boyes (Greg) of Amherstburg and Allan Van Bauwel (Michele) of Toronto. Loved grandmother of Jacqueline and Savannah. Dear step-mother of Lori Campbell (Steve), Kent (Butch) Faulkner (Jennifer) and Sherrie Phillips. Dear sister of Joe Horwath (Peggy) of Puce, Dennis Horwath (Joanne) of Puslinch, the late John Horwath and the late Father Leslie Horwath (2014). Dear sister-in-law of Patricia Horwath of Windsor and the late Jayne Horwath. Sadly missed by a number of step-grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Maggie was born in Kingsville on March 13, 1940, the daughter of the late Leslie and Olga (Laszloffy) Horwath. She graduated as a nurse in 1962 from the Hotel Dieu School of Nursing , Windsor. Maggie had worked as an R.N. at the Leamington Hospital. She was a member of St. George’s Roman Catholic Church, Byron. She was a member of the C.W.L. and ran the Widow and Widower program at the Church for 6 years.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where visitation will take place on Friday, November 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. George’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, November 22nd at 9:00 a.m. Cremation to follow, with private interment of ashes in Greenlawn Cemetery, Kingsville.
