James (Jim) Russell Sterling Obituary check_circle

It is with heavy hearts we are announcing the sudden death of James (Jim) Russell Sterling a long-time resident of Wallaceburg passed away on Saturday, September 2 2021 at Meadowpark Long Term Care in Chatham at the age of 68.

Jim was born in Chatham and is the son of the late Augustin (Gus) and Rose (Belanger) Sterling of Wallaceburg.

Jim loved spending time with his grandchildren, working on cars, building things, watching Clint Eastwood and Sylvester Stallone movies. Jim was proud to serve as a deacon at Faith Baptist Church.

Beloved husband of 33 years to Lori (Fox) Sterling.

Loving father of his daughters Nicole or Nicky (John) Reid of Missouri City of Texas, Danielle (Jaime) Morales of Kitchener, On.

Loving stepfather to Tina (Brad) McFadden of Dresden, Matt (Shannon) Snelgrove of Merlin. Predeceased by his stepchildren Jamie Snelgrove and Leigh-Ann Fox.  Dear brother and brother-in-law Marjorie (Don) Benedict, Joy Sterling both of Wallaceburg, Bonita Broad of Prince George BC, Theodore  (Ted) Sterling of Wallaceburg, Cheryl (Bill) Sanderson of Dresden, and Ruth (Kenny) Day of Wallaceburg. Predeceased by a brother Don Sterling.

He will be sadly missed by 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The late Jim Sterling is resting at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 3-6pm.

Cremation will follow and a private family interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
