Jack LEYSTRA Obituary
Peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, Joeke (Jack) Leystra, went to be with the Lord at the age of 89. Beloved husband to Betty (nee Veenstra) for 63 years. Loving father to Frank (Holly) Leystra, Joe Leystra, Bonnie (Craig) McFarlane, Trudy (Randy) Pelletier, Rita Leystra-Williams. Proud grandpa to Cheryl Leystra, Janice Leystra, Krista (Kerry) Mall, Jamie (Heaven List) Leystra, Trina (Marcus) Walz, Becky (Allan) Carter, Tyler (Randi-Mae) Pelletier, Caitlin Pelletier, Justin (Trish Scott) Williams, Michelle (Josh) Hicks and Ashley (Trevor Couture) Williams, and a proud great grandfather to 10 girls. Survived by his sister Pearl Van Luit and his brother Frank (Sandy) Leystra, and sisters-in-law, Barb Leystra, Minke Leystra and Willie Leystra. He was predeceased by his parents, Freerk and Gertje Leystra, his brothers Eltje, Shouke, Yense and Jochum Leystra and his sisters, Ida DeGroot, Sadie Steegstre, and Yantje Switinik. Visitors will be received by the family on Wednesday from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Wyoming Chapel, 650 Broadway St. Wyoming. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Wyoming Christian Reformed Church, 4524 Confederation Rd, Wyoming, at 11 a.m. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery.
