Jim Neely Obituary
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at C.E.E. Hospital, Petrolia. James (Jim) Neely, a lifelong resident of Wyoming, was in his 82nd year. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Lila (nee Powell), and children Fay (Ron Jones) Whitlock and Robin (Dianne) Neely. Proud grandfather of Ronnie, Belyndaann, Crystallyn, Chantelle (Tony), Curtis (Nicole), and Sheldon (Samantha). Jim is a step grandfather to six, great grandfather to eight and 3/4, and step great grandfather to seven. Also survived by his sisters Mary Jane (the late Bill) White and Margaret (the late George) Wiles, his sisters-in-law Mary (the late Ed) Young, Gloria (the late Frank) Reihl, Betcy (Gary) Spinks, brothers-in-law Jake (Cindy) Powell and Joe (the late Charlotte)(Roxanne) Powell, and many nieces and nephews. Jim is predeceased by his parents Sam and Mary (nee Thomas) Neely, his sisters Frances (the late Jim) Nickel, Beatrice (the late Pete) Howes, and Madeline (the late Mike) VanSpronsen, and brothers Sam (the late Betty)(Bonnie) Neely , John Neely, and George Neely. Visitors will be received on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm at the Wyoming Chapel, 650 Broadway St., Wyoming, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Wyoming Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Sarnia & District Humane Society or Alzheimer Adult Enrichment Centre.
