Jim POTTER Obituary check_circle

Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2105 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. JIM POTTER, of Wyoming, was in his 83rd year. Jim is predeceased by his wife Doreen (2004) (nee Asling) and his son Rob Potter (2010). He was a loving father and will be missed by his daughter Deb and her husband Gerald Vasselin of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, his daughter-in-law Nancy Potter Knight and her husband Fred of Chatham. Jim was a proud grandfather to Christopher and Jennifer Potter, Elizabeth and David Birnie, Casey and Melissa Vasselin, Tyler Vasselin, and Julie Vasselin. He thought the world of his great grandchildren Hailey, Madison, Katelynn, Aiden, and Parker . Jim is also survived by his brother John and Olive Potter, his sister Doris Harvey, and his sister-in-law Betty Ann and Eric Mollard. He was a special uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents Charles and Esther Potter and his sisters Berneice Potter and Leona Gooding. Jim worked 40 years for Ontario Hydro. He was member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Wyoming. He was a Past Master of Lebanon Forest Lodge no. 133 achieving 32 ° in 1969, and was a member of Mocha Shrine Temple since 1976. Visitors will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wyoming Chapel, Broadway St., Wyoming where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 1t 11:30 am. Interment will be in Parkhill Cemetery.
