Born in Summerside March 2, 1931 daughter of the late Bernard and Janet (Penwarden) Adams. Wife of the late Elton MacKay. Mother of Shirley Aitken (deceased); Roger (Colleen) MacKay, Winsloe, Kenneth (Julie) MacKay, St. Eleanors, Gordon (Donna) MacKay, Wilmot Valley and Lynn (Eric) LaPlante, Moncton NB, Stepmother of Linda (Martin) Smith, Bedford, N.S Grandmother of Jason Aitken, Melissa Aitken-McQuaid, Darren MacKay, Jonathan MacKay, Bradley MacKay, Alyson MacKay, Melanie LaPlante and Vanessa LaPlante. Great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren. Sister of Wesley Dartmouth, NS, Ruby Ramsay, Halifax, NS, Lucy Cameron Summerside and Effie (Aurele) Arsenault, Summerside. Sister-in-law of Gertrude Adams, Barbara Adams. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by brothers Herman, Chester, Lewis and Raymond Adams, sisters-in-law Minnie Adams, Elsie Drake and Monica Adams and brothers-in-law Warner Ramsay and Ellsworth Cameron.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Friday from 1-2 p.m. followed by the funeral in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m., which will be available to view online by following the link on the online death notice on the funeral home’s website.
