Albert William O’Brien Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert O’Brien announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his children: Linda (Eric) Hoskins, Chris O’Brien – Sylvia Jason, Judy (Bill) Companion, and Sean (Darlene) O’Brien; grandchildren: Shauna (Jamie), Krista (Michael), Melissa (Sean), Michael (Allison), Robbie (Kayla), Adam and Jason; great-grandchildren: Keria Brielle, Liam, Audrey, Mackenzie, Carrie, and Jack; sister-in-law Cathy (Larry) Barry; brothers-in-law: Francis (Lorraine) Vincent, Art (Violet) Vincent, Bern (Jean) Vincent, and Tom (Sherrie) Vincent; special friends Carla and Ed Kennedy, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Shirley (nee Vincent); parents Daniel and Katherine O’Brien; parents-in-law Frank and Mary Vincent; brothers and sisters and in laws. In keeping with Albert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook on Sunday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will take place on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Country Haven Funeral Chapel with Father Ed Terry officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. A special thank you to Dr. Carl Sparrow and the staff at WMRH Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
