Agatha Frances Penney Obituary
Passed into the loving arms of those gone before her, Agatha Frances Penney (nee Short) on January 30, 2016, at St. Luke’s Home. Age 60. Predeceased by her parents, Minnie & Phil Short (Carbonear) and Ed & Annie Penney. Leaving to celebrate her life and her loving memory, her husband of 39 years, Paul; daughter, Susan (Philip Johnson), son Christopher (Megan), precious grand daughter, Margot. Her brothers & sisters; Bride (John Doyle), Stan (Jean), Phil (Janet), Larry (Kimberley), Karen (Jim Carroll), Ken (Michelle) and Anne-Marie. Her brothers and sisters in law; Ted (Sheila), Alda (John Dunne) & Patricia (Jim Hayward). Also a large extended family and many friends. She was fortunate to have a special group of staff at St. Luke’s Nursing Home, who were also her extended family and loving caregivers. They have our thanks and our love. Cremation has already taken place.
Waking at Caul’s Funeral Home Thursday, February 2 & Friday, February 3 from 2-5 pm & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service to take place from Caul’s Chapel on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Flowers gratefully accepted. Agatha loved her garden. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Newfoundland also accepted.
