Necia Kaye Bouck Obituary check_circle

Anchorage resident, Necia Kaye Bouck, 67 died March 26, 2012 due to pancreatic cancer, at home, being cared for by her family and Providence Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held 7 pm Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Anchorage City Church, 1301 W. 100th Avenue (off the Minnesota Bypass).

Necia was born September 2, 1944. She grew up in Southern California and later lived in Las Vegas and Kent, Washington. She was a 1962 graduate of Costa Mesa High School and attended Orange County Junior College. She was truly a "California Girl" in the 1960’s. The only thing she regretted was turning down acting classes with Lee Strausberg’s group in New York.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Bouck, the former head of the Frontier Casino in Las Vegas and an Indian Tribal Gaming rights expert called to testify before Congress; her brother, Charlie Varner, a lighting tech on many shows in Hollywood; her son, Michael Thomas; and her beloved mother, Hilda Brown Strange.

Surviving family include her daughter, Lisa Dvojack; granddaughters, Makaylee McIntyre and Jennifer Dvojack and her husband, Zeke Vargas; great granddaughter, Ashlynn Vargas of Orange County, California; nephews and niece, Shane, David, and Crystal Varner and their families; and cousin by marriage, Charlot Thickstun and her family.

Necia enjoyed everything about Alaska and was a kind supportive person to everyone she met. She wants to thank Providence Hospice, especially Cheryl, for their expertise and kindness, as well as her family doctor, Robert Thornquist, M.D.; her great landlord, her friend Terry and neighbors everywhere.

Arrangements entrusted to the Cremation Society of Alaska. An online guestbook can be signed at www.alaskacremation.com
