Ronald C. Davis Obituary
Funeral services with full military honors for Ronald C. Davis, "RC", 75, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Archie Maddox and the Rev. Bobby Parker officiating. Burial will be in Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 5 until 7 at the funeral home. Mr. Davis died Wednesday at his home. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Vera Mae Davis; his children, Eleanor Regina Edwards (Rocky Anderson), Terry Randall Davis (Susie); Karen Lynne Jones (Ryan), Sandra Renee’ Lay; nine grandchildren; Amber Edwards, Chris Edwards, Ashley Davis, Drew Davis, Randy Morgan, Jamie Ficklen, Erin Lindsey (Tim), Meghan Lindsey and Cheyenne Lay; two great-grandchildren, Landon Horn and Brianna Horn; one sister, Evelyn Herron and brothers, Edward Davis and Roger Dale Davis. He was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, David Edwards and Dustin Lay and his parents, Goldman T. Davis and Earshel Upton Davis. Mr. Davis was retired from the U.S. Army after over 22 years of service, was a member of the 30th Artillery Association and was employed by Anniston Army Depot for over 15 years. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. The family requests memorial donation be made to the Alzeheimers Association, 4205 Hillsboro Pk., Ste 216, Nashville, TN 37215.
