Bobby Ray Allen Obituary check_circle

TALLADEGA – Funeral Services for Mr. Bobby Ray Allen, 78, will be Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 2:30 pm at Ironaton Church of Christ with Minister Cliff Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Friends are welcome to begin arriving at 1:30 for final viewing and goodbyes. Visitation will be held tonight from 5 to 7 pm in the chapel at Talladega Funeral Home. Mr. Allen passed away Thursday evening, March 22, 2012 at Citizens BMC. Mr. Allen was a resident of Talladega County all his life. He served as an Elder of Ironaton Church of Christ, where he had been a member all of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Delma Allen, three sisters Opal Gooden, Mavis Taylor, and Helen Haney, and one brother Woody Allen. Mr. Allen leaves behind his wife of 59 years Barbara Ann Allen, three sons Kevin Allen (Vickie), Kenneth Allen (Janet), and Jimmy Allen, two daughters Patricia Collins (Brad) and Angela Williamson (Larry), eight grandchildren Julie Collins, Melissa Collins, Ashley Allen, Amber Ezekiel, Joshua Jacobs, Megan Graves, Sawyer Williamson, and Kayla Allen, and four great grandchildren Caleb Cooley, Madison Brown, Ava Ezekiel, and Mason Graves. He is also survived by his sister Linda Pate and several nieces and nephews. The following men will serve as pallbearers: Mickey Haney, Greg Ezekiel, Joe Tom Stephens, Rodney Williams, Scotty Bishop, and Bill Camp. The family would also like to recognize the following men as honorary Pallbearers: Shelton Creed, Ed Collins, Ronnie Hurst, J.W. Gallahar, Royce Gallahar, and Donald Robinson. Memorial Donations may be made to the Ironaton Church of Christ Building Fund at P.O. Box 297 Talladega, AL 35161. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
