Drexell D Davis Obituary
Drexell D. Davis, age 75, of Bentonville, passed away on December 6, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale after a long battle with Heart Disease. He was born in Pea Ridge on August 20, 1936, to the late Nathan and Bertha (Davis) Bush. He served in the Arkansas Army National Guard and was owner/operator of Davis Excavating for over 30 years. Drexell was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and canoeing with his family. He also enjoyed hunting with his son in Colorado. He was a life- long member of the Bentonville Church of Christ.
Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Shirley Davis, of the Home; His son Randall D. Davis , wife Kathleen and their daughter Kaitlyn of Platte City, Missouri; His daughter Julie Lyn Davis of Bentonville; sister, Shirley Folks of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; his step-father, Jack Bush of Bentonville and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011, at Rollins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Walter Buchanan. Interment will follow in Bentonville City Cemetery.
