Norman B. Bass Obituary
Norman B. Bass 12/14/1929 – 11/29/2011 Norman took his final journey to join his son, Woodie who preceded him in death several years ago. He leaves behind Linda, his loving wife for 62 years, and his daughter-in-law, Linnea. His sister-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews were particularly special to him and they will miss Uncle Normie deeply. Goddaughter, Diane and her husband, Ken also survive. Norman was born in Johnstown, PA to Bernard and Frieda Bass. He entered the Air Force as a young man and proudly served his country retiring after 24 years as a Chief MSGT. He was quite an accomplished performer and entertained our troops at numerous service clubs. Recently, Norman participated as a member of the Jewish War Veterans and was past Commander. A man of integrity, kindness and humor, Norman encountered many individuals in his lifetime and made lasting relationships with family, friends and comrades. His passing leaves us especially pain filled but also proud to have known such a wonderful person. Memorial Services will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, please make remembrances in Norman’s Name to the American Cancer Society .
