Sheri Kriemelmeyer Obituary check_circle

Kriemelmeyer, Sheri Age 71, passed away on New Year’s Day 2012 as a result of complications from lung cancer. She fought with dignity, strength, and courage against the disease for over a year. Sheri was the beloved wife of John, loving mother of Kurt and Wayne and mother-in-law of Cindy and Kathy, proud grandmother "Mimi" of Carson and Claire, dear sister of Grady (Karen) Koch, Joyce (Ron) Lieske, and Carol Lee (Bob) Nielsen, and precious daughter of Noella Koch. Sheri was born in Enid, OK in 1940 on to Willard and Noella Koch. The Kochs soon moved to Upland, NE, where she grew up on the family farm and eventually met her husband, John, of 52 years. Sheri’s faith in God was important to her. She accepted Christ as her Savior in 1980, was baptized and served in guest ministries as an usher at Willow Creek Church. She was a real estate agent in Barrington for 31 years, most recently with Baird and Warner. Her energy, joy, and listening heart meant that coworkers and many clients could not help but be drawn to her and became longstanding, close friends. She made an incredibly positive impact on so many and the world is a lesser place without her. Memorial visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, January 14, at Willow Creek Church, 67 East Algonquin Road, South Barrington, in the Chapel (Entrance B). A reception will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Home of the Sparrow for Homeless Women and Children (815-271-5444) or the American Cancer Society (800-227-2345).
