Ruth Ernestine Puryear Fletcher
Ruth Ernestine Puryear Fletcher, age 78, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at her home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. She was born July 15, 1933 in Union County to George Lee and Ruby Whitledge Puryear. After many years of service, she retired from Methodist Hospital. She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ and was well known for her faith, love of her family and great cooking ability.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward Leroy Fletcher, brothers: Kestner Lee (Amelia) Puryear, William Bernard Puryear, Louis Raymond Puryear, Charles Edward Puryear and sister Dorothy Eugenia (William L.) Newman.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Tapp Funeral Home, Henderson, KY. Gary Puryear will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery, Henderson, KY.
Friends may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday at Tapp Funeral Home.
