Earlin J. Gautreaux

CARENCRO – Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton for Earlin J. Gautreaux, age 74, who passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at his residence in Carencro.

Interment will be in St. John Berchmans Mausoleum in Cankton. The Rev. Henry J. Broussard, pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Gautreaux was a native of Church Point and a resident of Carencro. He loved his horses and was a member of the Quarter Horse Association. Mr. Gautreaux was a parishioner of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton.

Survivors include his wife Hermina B. Gautreaux of Carencro; two sons, Allen Gautreaux and his wife, Marilyn, of Carencro, Ronald Gautreaux and his wife, Lynette, of Carencro; two daughters, Sharlene Sonnier and Marlene Stonicher, both of Duson; one sister, Mary Maude Richard; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elie Gautreaux and the former Dierise Daigle both natives of Church Point; one sister, Enola Howe; and one grandchild, Katie Gautreaux.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Gautreaux, Joseph Gautreaux, Matt Gautreaux, Derek Champagne, Scotty Briscoe and Glenn Guidry.
