Anna Bell Foreman Bourque
LAFAYETTE – Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for Anna Bell Foreman Bourque, 87, who died on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Cornerstone Village South in Lafayette.
Entombment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum in Scott.
Reverend Chester Arceneaux, Rector of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Jodi Bollich, vocalist, accompanied by Tom Niel, organist, will sing for the services, "Ave Maria", "Amazing Grace", "Pie Jesu" and "Hail Mary, Gentle Woman".
Survivors include one son, Karl Bourque and his companion, Joyce Penn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bourque; her parents, Percy and Nella Foreman; two sisters Hester Foreman and Frances Foreman; four brothers, Zepherin Foreman, Oren Foreman, Hector Foreman and Nolan Foreman; and her canine companion, "Alex the Bouvier".
Mrs. Bourque was a member of the St. Anne Society, the Catholic Daughters and also a Ladies Rosary Group. She was also a member of the Cathedral of St. John Catholic Church Community and the St. John’s Altar Society. Mrs. Bourque enjoyed gardening, cooking and playing pokeno.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 7:00 PM in Martin & Castille’s DOWNTOWN location.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Anna Bell Bourque’s name to Heart of Hospice, 201 W. Vermilion, Ste. 200, Lafayette, La, 70501.
