Verna R. Duhon was born on December 25, 1924 in Youngsville, Louisiana. In her early years she worked as a cashier for Jacob’s Restaurant. That prompted her to open her own snowball stand where she was well known for her famous hot dog chili. Later in life the Lord used her mightily in a ministry of praying for the sick. She was a very gracious and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister and grandmother, reaching down as far as 5 generations. She was fun-loving, witty, stylish, young at heart and enjoyed a good laugh. She cared deeply about people and had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Menard Jr., Billy Menard, Jhaice Menard, Jhess Menard, Ryan Breaux and Chris Sons. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold and Murphy Rouley.
