RAYNE – Funeral services for Edna Arceneaux Stelly, 64, of Lafayette will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 8:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne, LA. Lance Bennett will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time, and will continue after the service until 10:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Stelly passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 8:21 P.M. in a Lafayette hospital.
A native of Rayne, Mrs. Stelly had lived in Lafayette for many years. She was a graduate of Judice High School.
Mrs. Stelly was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose Christian faith was evident in her being more concerned for others than for her own well-being. Her greatest joy in life was being with and caring for her family, especially her loving husband of 46 years, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom she was lovingly known as "Granny".
Survivors include her husband, Leon Stelly, Jr.; daughters, Brenda Stelly, Pamela Stelly Crotts, and Sonya Stelly Finck and husband, Shane, all of Lafayette; son, Micheal Lee Stelly and wife, Mailien of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Dustin Stelly and wife, Rebekah, Philip Stelly, Cullan Finck, Kourtnee Lynn Stelly, Ariel Renae Finck, Monique Stelly, Amber Stelly, and McKenzie "Honey" Finck; and great-grandchild, Kael Thomas Stelly.
Mrs. Stelly was proceeded in death by her parents, Andrus and Odile Quibodeaux Arceneaux; son-in-law, Mark Stuart Crotts; sisters, Barbara Nell Duhon, Debbie Arceneaux, and Laura Arceneaux; and brothers, Kermit James Arceneaux and Andrus Arceneaux, Jr.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Rayne.
