Alice Perez Clark, Obituary check_circle

Alice Perez Clark, 72, lifelong resident of Las Cruces entered eternal life Thursday, April 12, 2012. Born to Cecilia and Juan Perez on June 21, 1939, she was raised by her much loved grandma, Lola Lucero. She grew up in the Old Water Street neighborhood, and then the family moved to Mechem Drive, where she spent many days enjoying the company of her sister, Flora and brothers, Juan and Charlie. Alice attended White Elementary, Court Junior High and graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1958. She married the love her life, Daniel J. Clark on May 16, 1959 and had four children, Danny, Lori, Terry and Hector. Alice was a devoted wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma. Her greatest joy was to see and spend time with her family. Her presence in our life is a gift we will always be thankful for. WE LOVE YOU MOM. Survivors include a son, Hector Clark and companion, Myrna Diaz of Las Cruces, daughters, Lori Dominguez and husband Rafael Dominguez, Jr., of Mesquite, Terry Huey and husband, Fred of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Flora Padilla and husband, Paul; brothers, Juan Perez and wife, Josie, Carlos ""Charlie"" Gomez all of Las Cruces; her grandchildren, Rafael Dominguez III (Brandi), Joey Dominguez (Amber), Steven Dominguez (Lluvia), Annette Dominguez (Gino Ramirez), Simon Dominguez (Maribel), Jasmin and Tommy Clark all of Las Cruces, Ryan and Meagan Clark of Colorado and John Clark of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Maximus, Meridius, Elexis, Simon Joey, Daniel, Armando Dominguez, Eternity, Izrael and Leilani Ramirez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Clark, son, Danny Clark, granddaughter, Marie Bernadette Clark, mother and father, Juan and Cecilia Perez, grandmother, Dolores ""Lola"" Lucero, and a nephew, Carlos Gomez II. Visitation for Mrs. Clark will begin at 6 PM, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Baca’s Chapel of Prayer, 300 E. Boutz Road, where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 2 PM, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in St. Genevieve’s Catholic Church, 100 S. Espina Street. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Rafael Dominguez III, Joey Dominguez, Steven Dominguez, Simon Dominguez, Tommy Clark, Paul Padilla, Ernest Padilla and Tommy Padilla.
