Catherine ROCCA Obituary
After a courageous four year battle with illness, Catherine (Cathy) Rocca passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the age of 63.
Beloved wife of Luigi (Lou) Rocca for 44 years. Loving mother of Garrett (Gina) Rocca and Chiara (Tyler) Woychyshyn. Survived by her brother Michael (Melanie Evers) Kohut, sister Mary (Rick VanBuskirk) Stolch, and sister-in-law Maria (Dan) Varsava. Cathy will be missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Mary Kohut, and mother and father-in-law Domenico and Onoria Rocca.
Cathy exuded life with a radiant glow. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a gracious entertainer and host who welcomed all with an open heart. She blessed her family and friends with her Italian cooking that fed the soul and her story telling that warmed the heart. Cathy found joy through animals and lived in harmony with nature. Above all, Cathy’s most cherished passion was her love for her devoted husband and children.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at St Joseph’s Hospice and a special thanks to Dr. Lori Kolano for her care and compassion.
