Ethel Isabella FLANAGAN Obituary
Ethel Isabella Flanagan, 101, of McNair Manor Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Born in Meadow Brook, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes “Jennie” (Jones) Green. Ethel worked in the Mail Order Department with T. Eaton Co. for several years before she retired to raise her family.
Ethel will be sadly missed by her daughters, Emily, Elsie (Samuel), Joyce (Norman), Elva (Leonard), Valerie (Brian), Louise, Bernice and Judy (Chris); sons, Isaac, Clifford (Sharon) Cyril, Ernest (Ruth) and John (Darlene); many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, Ella; brothers, Robert and Albert; several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents Ethel was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth (1998); brothers, Alfred and George.
Ethel’s family would like to thank the staff of McNair Manor, 11 Beechwood, for the compassion and care given to Ethel and her family during her sixteen year stay.
A Service to celebrate and honour Ethel’s life, will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road Moncton (858-1995), on Tuesday, September 26 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Scott Ryder leading the service. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment to be held in St. James Presbyterian Cemetery, Beersville.
