Mildred MacDonald Obituary check_circle

Mildred “Millie” MacDonald, 97, of Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, March 16, 2018.

Born in Lewisville, she was the daughter of the late John and Blanche (Stiles) Fillmore. Millie was a long-time member of Lewisville Baptist Church where she served her church in various capacities over the years. She enjoyed writing poetry, doing pencil sketches, taking drives around the country side and spending time caring and supporting her family. She was truly a kind and gentle soul.

Millie will be sadly missed by her loving children, John MacDonald of Moncton and Ann Granville (Michael) of Moncton, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, Millie was predeceased by her husband, Fred MacDonald (June 2000); sister, Miriam “Mim” Bone and brother, Sgt. Maurice Fillmore.

Visitation to be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, (858-1995) Moncton, on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to Celebrate and Honour Millie’s Life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon MacLeod leading the service. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment to be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
