Margaret Lockwood Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Margaret “Marg” Lockwood (nee Monteith) of Burton, NB, which occurred at her home on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 with her loving husband, David Lockwood by her side. Born in Woodstock, NB on March 29, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Nina (Cook) Monteith.
In addition to her husband, Marg is survived by her daughters, Laura Lockwood (Diane Castle) and Sandra Lockwood-Fraser (John) all of Fredericton, NB; sisters, Jeannine Prosser (Ralph), Irene Campbell (Bob) and Geraldine Kilburn (Chris); brothers, Richard (Judy), Allison (Beverley) and Hugh Monteith, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides her parents, Marg was predeceased by her sisters, Pauline Belyea and Connie Myers; brothers, Roger and Victor Monteith.
Marg always loved going to St. John’s Anglican Church. She especially enjoyed her time at New River Beach. She was a dedicated nurse and loved her family dearly. She was a good wife and a good mom.
By request of the family there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the St. John’s Anglican Church on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at the St John’s Anglican Cemetery.
