Mary Albertine “Tina” Gaynes
1925-2023
It is with sadness the family of Mary Albertine “Tina” (Lavigne) Gaynes announce her passing on February 3rd, 2023 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Lorne Settlement, she was a daughter to the late William & Agnes (Lapointe) Levine.
She loved music, especially Charley Pride. In her younger years she enjoyed knitting and bingo but most of all she enjoyed her family. Her children and her husband were her whole life.
Tina is survived and sadly missed by her daughters, Sandra (late Vernon) Roberts and Wanda Turner; her sons: Gene (Linda) Gaynes, Harold Gaynes and Laurie (Rina) Gaynes; her sister, Lyda Lapointe; her 12 grandchildren as well as many great and great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Tina was predeceased by her husband, Eugene; her sons, Gerald Gaynes, infant son Wayne and most of her siblings.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800) from where visitation will be held on Monday, February 6th at 6:00pm-8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 7th at 11:00am from St. Jude’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Phil presiding. Interment will be held in the spring at the Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Cemetery.
If desired, donations made to the Moncton Hospital Geriatric Unit or to the Extra Mural would be appreciated by the family.
