In Celebration of

RUSSELL JOSEPH HOTRUM

April 10, 1964 – March 12, 2024

HOTRUM, Russell Joseph

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of one of the greatest men, our Love, Russell Joseph Hotrum on March 12, 2024 surrounded by his family. He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Alexandra (nee Pavlovich) of 34 years (42 years together). He will be forever in the hearts of his three children Rebekka (Kirby), Russell (Sydney) and Rachell. His adoring grandson Russell Joseph Hotrum II will dearly miss his Pa. Predeceased by his father Gerald Hotrum. He will be affectionately remembered by his Mother Norma Hotrum and his three siblings Ken (Terrianne), Paul and Lynn. He will be fondly remembered by the Hotrum, Savelli, Chanter, Pavlovich, and Lastella families, seven nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Russ was a family man who was a devoted husband, son, brother, friend and incredibly proud father and Pa. He was so loved for his amazing life advice and his extremely well-timed sarcastic jokes. You could always find him around the house tinkering around with something in the garage, doing some kind of outdoor chore, or blasting his favourite tunes in his man cave. He had a passion for old cars, and was very proud of his 69 Chevy. He lived life with the theory that we should always be grateful and live with “no regrets.” He made sure that he treated every relationship that he had with such care. His unexpected loss has left us with a hole in our hearts that can never be replaced, but we will continue to live on in his memory. We will blast his favourite tunes and make sure we enjoy life to the fullest. We will miss you so much. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Saturday, March 16th from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm and from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph https://www.uoguelph.ca/ovc/give/ would be appreciated.
