Patricia McNeil Obituary
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing, on Sunday April 7th, of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Patricia “Pat” Eileen McNeil at the age of 86. Born in Sydney Nova Scotia, Pat came to Ontario after marrying Forbes McNeil of New Waterford NS. They settled in Oakville to raise their family. Pat was a stay-at-home mom who dedicated herself to her sons and husband. She also spent many years looking after her wonderful grandchildren whom she treasured. She had a flare for fashion and enjoyed antiquing always looking out for a new piece of Bristol blue glass. Pat was a member of the United Church and supported many charities, including the Salvation Army, Canadian Red Cross, Mission Services, United Way and more.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 60 plus years Forbes, sons David & Paul, granddaughter Alison, grandson Luke and her sister Joan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
A memorial reception will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2024 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 11am – 1pm.
