Rebecca Lynn (Wyville) Bouma Obituary
Rebecca Lynn (Wyville) Bouma was granted her angel wings on April 4, 2013, at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, Ontario. Becky’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle nature, infectious smile and strength of spirit were a comfort and inspiration to the lives of many. Becky was best known for her love of family. She had this special ability to bring laughter to every situation. Her resiliency, despite the obstacles, carried her through setting goals and achieving them in all areas of her life. Becky saw many joys in her accomplishments such as; graduating from The University of Western Ontario, achieving her dream job as a kindergarten teacher and most important of all, being married to her best friend and becoming a mother. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Loving wife and best friend of Derek Bouma. Loving and adoring mother of Katie. Will be missed by her constant companion Romeo. Treasured daughter of Pam and Blair Wyville. Much loved sister of Angie Wyville and, Willy Wyville (Noelle Frank). Loving aunt of Sophia and Olivia Scott. Cherished granddaughter of Allen Wyville. Beloved daughter-in-law of Betty Bouma and, John (Kathy) Bouma, sister-in-law of Carli (Sean) Neill, Dustin (Kim) Bouma and lovingly remembered by Everett and Kay Hooyer and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by grandparents; Jackie Wyville, Hank and Shirley Smith, Poppe and Sjoukje Bouma. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Kathy Wakely and the VON nurses, especially Ann Wallace, for the love and support they have given during Becky’s journey.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Becky’s life on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Christian Reformed Church, 5834 Blackwell Sd. Rd.
