Jim Chapman Obituary
CHAPMAN, Jim – Passed away peacefully with his “Alice” by his side on Thursday March 28th, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Center, Brantford. Mr. Jim Chapman of Simcoe in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Kathie (nee Jacob) for 48 years. Loving father of Kara Cowan (Chris), Jenn Gates (Chris) and JP Cullen (Jason). Cherished Grandpa and Poppa to Nyla (Daniel), Ethan, Elyse, Kalyc and Kate. Poppa Jim to Brinley. Dear brother to the late Joe Chapman (Marian) and late Paul Chapman (Christine). Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Myrle Raymer. Jim will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends.
Jim was one of the founding members of the Simcoe United Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps and G.A.S. ensemble. Jim was very involved in his community, he loved to lend a hand and volunteer where ever he could. He was active for years in many clubs and organizations. Jim lived life to the fullest, always with a laugh, Cheers to all who knew him.
Friends are invited to visit on Monday April 1st, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ferris Funeral Home, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe where the service will be held on Tuesday April 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Father Agustine Ogundele Celebrant.
