Sharon LAWRENCE (JONES) Obituary
LAWRENCE, Mrs. Sharon (nee Jones), of St. Thomas, passed away at London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, in her 73rd year. Beloved wife for 48 years to the late Ronald L. Lawrence (2009). Dearly loved mother of Stephen Lawrence (JoAnne) of Whitby, Patrick Lawrence (Nancy) of Toledo, OH, and Michelle Pallister (Jeff) of Shedden. Cherished grandmother of Wesley, Breanne, Matthew, and Anna Lawrence, and Kirsten, Kacey, and Mitchell Pallister. Dear sister of Rick Jones (Lida) of Dundas, and the late L. David Jones (1986). Also fondly remembered by Betty Lou and Bert Donaldson and family of St. Thomas, sister-in-law, Marilyn Waldeck of Exeter, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in St. Thomas, ON, May 30, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Florence (nee Hunter) Jones. Sharon was a retired Occupational Therapist Aide at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. She was an active member of the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Auxiliary. Sharon was an avid gardener. Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Sunday evening, May 10th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). The funeral service will be held at New Vision Community Church, United Church of Canada, 38 Aldborough Ave., St. Thomas on Monday, May 11th at 2:00 p.m. (Relatives and friends will be received one hour prior.) Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. Memorial donations to the STEGH Foundation re: The Great Expansion gratefully acknowledged.
