Earl W. P.Eng Pearce Obituary
Pearce-Earl W. P.Eng. of Elgin Manor, passed away on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015, after a courageous battle with progressive supernuclear palsy, at his late residence, in his 78th year. Dearly loved husband of 52 years of Anna Mae (Hicknell) Pearce and loved father of Dianne Pearce and her husband Gerardo Toledo of London and Darin Pearce of London. Loved grandfather of Maebh Toledo and dear brother of the late Arthur Pearce, Philip Pearce (late Evelyn), Catherine (Kay) Couwenberg (Hank), Hugh Pearce (Julie), Linda Wardle (Doug) and Lois Oatman (Joe). Sadly missed by the Pearce Family, the Toledo Family and nieces and nephews. Earl was born in Tillsonburg on August 17th, 1937, the son of the late Harold W. and Catherine (Broad) Pearce. He was a professional electrical engineer. Earl was a former member of the St. Thomas Kiwanis Club (President 1969), St. Thomas Curling Club (former director) and the Professional Engineers Ontario (retired).
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels’ Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Remembrances may be made to Holy Angels’ Church Restoration Fund or the Caring Cupboard.
