It is with profound sadness that we express the passing of our beloved Joe on August 31, 2015 at 63 years of age after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband of Marlene ( nee Matos ) to whom he celebrated 31 years of marriage. Amazing father to Elizabeth Martinu and husband Chad, and Stephen Edmondson. Predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Anne Edmondson and brother John. Survived by sisters Mary ( Jim ) Campbell of Ireland, Ann and Theresa both of Windsor and brother Paul of Bath, ON. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joe was a dedicated Human Resources Manager in Windsor / Essex for 30 years before his retirement. He was also an avid visual artist, gardener, nature fanatic and outdoor enthusiast, but his greatest love was his family. We will always remember his ever present smile and sense of humour. Visitation WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME ( Main Chapel ) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Thursday from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. Parish prayers Thursday at 8:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to join the family at St. Mary’s Church in Maidstone ( 12048 County Rd 34. Maidstone, ON ) on Friday September 4, 2015 from 10:00 AM until time of Joe’s funeral mass at 11:00 AM with Fr. Moe Charbonneau Officiating. A procession to follow to Heavenly Rest Cemetery where cremation will take place. The family would like to thank the staff from the 3rd floor Palliative Care Unit at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital for their compassionate care shown to Joe and his family.
