Born in Bolzano, Italy on November 15, 1956, he immigrated to Canada with his parents Alfredo and Guiseppina Mantovan at the age of one. Marco grew up in Windsor with his siblings Cristina Lazzarin and Bruno Mantovan and cherished many great memories of his childhood. As a youngster he developed a passion for mechanics and tinkering with all things electrical leading him to pursue his dreams of owning a successful business. It was in Windsor where he met and married the love of his life and soulmate of 32 years, Laura Mantovan (nee Darisi) (2015). Together they welcomed and raised two daughters, Melissa (Jason) and Trisha (Derek), who admired his intelligence, ambition and drive and were always daddy’s little girls. Marco was an avid cyclist and enjoyed early morning rides and espresso with his crew. With his beloved wife and children by his side, he loved travelling to Mediterranean destinations and tasting their food. Adoring and devoted husband, caring and selfless father and father-in-law, supportive and loving son, brother and nephew. Cherished son-in-law to Milena Darisi, brother-in-law to Luca, Linda, Moreno, Gail, Jim, Bonnie, Brenda, Paul and Krista and Zio to many nieces and nephews.
