Allan Edward strong Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father Allan Edward Strong on Tuesday June 22 at the Lakeshore General Hospital. Dad was in his eighty- second year when he succumbed to cancer.
Dad was pre-deceased by his parents William and Dorothy Strong (nee Davidson), his older brother David Strong, his ex-wife Patricia Anne Millar and his partner of thirty years Linda McGill.
His four children and their partners; Allan Douglas Strong (Susan Barg), Mary Theresa Louise Paolini (Steven Paolini), Michael Francis Strong (Bill White) and Jacqueline Marie Weick (Joel Weick), are grieving the loss of their father.
His grandchildren; Jacob Strong, Christine Strong, Sarah Paolini, Alison Paolini and Hannah Paolini are saddened by the loss of their loving grandfather.
His many nephews, nieces and cousins will miss Dad and the gatherings at the cottage will no longer be the same.
Dad was an avid golfer and he enjoyed playing with the weekly Friday gang at courses around the Montreal area. He also enjoyed working around the house, reading and debating the issues of the day with anyone that was available. Dad was quite involved in his community engaging in a number of activities and events throughout his life.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate and to honour Dad’s life taking place at the Lakeshore Unitarian Universalist Congregation on Tuesday June 28 at 1:00 pm.
