Madeleine Rousselle née Lussier Obituary check_circle

At the Sainte-Anne de Bellevue Hospital, on September 17, 2022, at the age of 98, passed away Madeleine Lussier, wife of the late Gaëtan Rousselle. She was the daughter of the late Lucienne Côté and Wilfrid Lussier.
She leaves to mourn her children; Jean-Louis (Debra South) late Jean-Marc. Her adored grandchildren; Marc (Marie-Pier Rochon) Justin (Geneviève Cousineau) Christina and step-granddaughter; Lacey Rose (Michael Machin). Her great-grandchildren; Jules son of Marc and Marie-Pier, Léa, Coralie and Thomas daughters and son of Justin and Geneviève. Her sisters, the late Gabrielle (late Thomas Coryea) Suzanne (late Marcel Quenneville) brother late Robert. As well as many nephews and nieces.
In the late 1940’s, Madeleine moved from Ormstown to Huntingdon with her parents, siters Gabrielle & Suzanne and brother Robert. In Huntingdon she worked as the bookkeeper for Marchand Frères. In time she met Gaëtan Rousselle whom she married on Sept 8 th 1951. Together they had two sons, Jean-Louis & Jean-Marc.
Madeleine possessed a wonderful artistic talent, all who knew her admired this gift which was particularly evident in her hand writing. She was also articulate in both French & English and tutored several young persons in the French language. She lived for her family and all those close to them. Their home located at 58 Prince Street was often the place where many of the kids on the block could be found playing with Jean-Louis & Jean-Marc.
In time Madeleine was rewarded with 3 grand-children, Marc, Justin and Christina, which were her pride and joy. Later came four great grand-children. Lea 10 years of age, Coralie 7 and Thomas 4 from Justin and Genevieve. Jules, 7 years of age from Marc and Marie Pier.
On September 17th 2022 Madeleine quietly departed this earthly life to be reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Gaëtan and son Jean-Marc.
Visitations will be on Saturday, September 24 th from 12 noon to 1:40 p.m. at the Rodrigue Montpetit & Fils Funeral Home. 170, Châteauguay Street, Huntingdon Quebec 450-264-5331. Immediately followed by the Funeral service and burial at 2 p.m. at the Huntingdon St-Joseph’s Catholic Church. After which the family invites you for refreshments and light lunch at the St-Joseph’s Parish Hall located across from the church.
