Gordon Thomas DEER Obituary
Deer, Gordon Thomas (1925–2021).
Passed away peacefully on September 25, 2021, at the age of 96.
Predeceased by his parents Annie Cross the River and Frank Deer, his first wife Joan Lathi Deer, second wife Susan Johnson Deer and stepdaughters Gladys and Aleda. He leaves behind his stepdaughter Sylvia (Breezy) as well as many other relatives and friends.
Gordon was a long-time member of NYC Ironworkers Local 361.
Gordon now joins his brothers and sisters Tessie, Alec, Susan, Louise, Andrew, Mary, Nancy, Margaret, Angus and Raymond.
The viewing will start on Tuesday, September 28th at Poissant & Deer, Old Malone highway, Kahnawake, 450-632-7749.
Visitation will be on Tuesday September 28th from 10 am to noon, 1 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm and also on Wednesday September 29th from 10 am. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 29th at the St. Francis Xavier Mission. All current COVID-19 protocols to be followed.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Turtle Bay Elders Lodge and the Kateri Memorial Hospital Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Francis Xavier Mission or the Kateri Memorial Foundation.
