Obituary of Ethel Coleman (nee Hughes)
Peacefully, in hospital, Shawville, Quebec on Sunday, November 20, 2016 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Howard Coleman. Dear mother of Larry (Diane Pirie) of Shawville, PQ and Terry (Debbie Griffin) of Parksville, B.C. Grandmother of Jennifer Tremblay, Jeff Coleman (Megan), Jason Coleman and Trish Garrett (Jason). Great grandmother of Brianna and Rebecca Tremblay, Joshua and Brooklyn Coleman and Tristan, Quinn and Rhys Garrett. Cherished aunt of Carole and Betty Hughes. Ethel was particularly proud of her 40+ years in the defense industry working for CAL (later CIL) Industries (Explosives) in Nitro, PQ and as a dedicated U.C.W. member (past president) of Valleyfield United Church. Friends and family may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral to follow in the Chapel. Private Interment will take place in St. James Cemetery, Maxville, ON. Donations to Shawville United Church or Pontiac Reception Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
