It is with great sadness that Don’s family announces his passing on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the age of 83 years. Don passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Susan; brothers Melvin, Harold and Dorothy, Gordon; father and mother-in- law Lloyd and Hazel Perkin. Left to cherish his memory are the love of his life for 62 years Una; children Lance and Laurie, Donna and Ron Shemanski, Duane, Cindy and Ken Adams, Jeff and Deb; grandchildren, Lance’s children Clinton and Michelle and their children Tanner and Brady; Lindsey; Courtney and Marlon and their daughter Peyton; Cindy’s children Justine, Brendon and Morgan; Jeff’s children Taylor and Alexa; sister-in-law Hazel Bean as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Don was born in the Rouleau district and farmed there all his life. He kept his quick wit until the very end. Don had a very strong commitment to his family and community. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at the Rouleau Town Hall, Rouleau, SK on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 7T1 or Palliative Care, 455 Fairford St E, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1H3.
