Gertie Olive Rees Obituary
It is with sadness that the family of the late Gertie Olive Rees announces her passing at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre, Botwood, NL aged 95 years.
Gertie leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children, Gord (Marion), Marva (Ed), Roy (Pat), & Owen; grandchildren, Don, Bruce, Tracey, Jennifer, & Arron; great-grandchildren, Justin, Carly, Charlotte, Ben, & Kylee; as well has a number of nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.
Gertie is predeceased by her husband, Eric; son, Raymond; parents, Samuel and Lydia Moores; son-in-law, Sam; brothers, Walter & Fred; sister, May.
The public visitation will take place Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm from Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL.
The funeral service will take place Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 11 am from The Salvation Army Citadel with Major Peter & Janice Rowe officiating.
The interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Botwood, NL.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers greatly accepted, as well donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre, Botwood, NL.
