Dermot Patrick Kemp Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Dermot Patrick Kemp announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the age of 81 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Edward, Andrea (Rhuaridh), Derm (Cathy), and Joseph (Kara); grandchildren: Christopher, Aaron, Sarah, Austin, Claire, Emma, Matthew, and Isabel; as well as a large circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased his wife Geraldine (2015); his parents James and Helen, and his brothers and sisters: Isobel, Mona, Helen, Alice, Mary, James, Francis, and Edward. Derm held a great love for his wife, his children and his grandchildren à a true family man. He loved to laugh, and make others laugh; kind and generous; a fighter to the end, never complaining. A special thank-you to the staff at the LTC who cared for our father over the last five years. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday, between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue, with Father Andrew White officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations are graciously accepted to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. The family guest book may be signed by visiting www.country-haven.ca .
